In a stellar performance at the state‑level( Prant level) “Bharat Ko Jano” quiz competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad, students of DAV Centenary Public School, Jagjeetpur of Panchpuri Branch, were declared the winners. The event saw participation of 21,900 students across the Uttarakhand ( west) state under 22 different shakas of Bharat Vikas parishad from where 16 different teams(shakas) from schools of Haridwar, Dehradun, Kotdwar, Roorkee, Bhagwanpur across the Uttarakhand ( west) state, were finally qualified after winning the branch level quiz held earlier. The quiz tested knowledge of India’s history, heritage, culture, geography, politics and current affairs.
The school’s team, comprising students from the senior team ( Shaurya Jain XII A and Niharika Bisht IX D) and junior team ( Tanushka Rana VI D and Nakul Arora VI D), representating Panchpuri shaka showcased remarkable depth and quick thinking, clinching first place in Senior group at the state level ( Prant level) held on 30th November at Gurukul Kangri University .
This victory has earned them the right to represent the Uttarakhand ( west)state at the upcoming North Central Region-1 slated to take place in Meerut on 7 December.
The win has been hailed as a proud moment for the school, inspiring peers to take greater interest in national heritage.
Congratulations to the winning Senior team comprising of Shaurya Bisht ( XII-A) and Niharika Bisht( IXD), their mentor Ms Navdeep Kaur Chhabra, who under the able visionary guidance of Principal Mr Manoj Kumar Kapil achieved this remarkable accomplishment.
