Dhoom Singh Memorial Public School celebrated the 78th Independence Day with a great patriotic zeal in the school premises. The ceremony began with unfurling the national flag by the school director Mr. Mukul Chauhan sir and principal madam Mrs. Sadhna Bhatia. The school family sang the National Anthem in unison and expressed the joy of our freedom.

The students expressed their sentiments and aspirations for the country through English and Hindi speeches. The propitious day was marked by a series of performances which included patriotic singing and dancing arousing the patriotic zeal amongst the gathering. A street play by the students showcasing the spirit of love and brotherhood in our country enthralled the audience.

The students also presented a role play of freedom fighters commemorating their great contribution in the struggle for freedom and paid a rich tribute to the motherland. The students felt enriched with an encouraging address by the honourable manager sir Mr. Kshetra Pal Singh sir, director sir and principal madam who motivated the children to excel in academics and their desired talents to serve their country as responsible citizens upholding the democratic values of the nation.

Independence Day celebrations were completed well under the supervision of Activity Incharges Mrs. Preeti Gupta and Mrs. Shraddha Sharma and House in-charges Mrs. Seema Bhardwaj, Mrs. Pooja Saini, Mrs. Deepa Rathi and Mrs. Meenakshi Verma. The celebrations culminated with the distribution of sweets exhibiting the joyous fervor of patriotism.
